LA’s Finest premieres May 13th only on Spectrum On Demand.
UPDATE: Looks like ‘LA’s Finest’ has been picked up for a 13-episode full season by Charter Communication and will be shown exclusively on the Spectrum network. Besides taking on the leads, Union and Alba will both serve as executive producers along with co-showrunner Pam Veasey (CSI:NY) and Jerry Bruckheimer (Bad Boys franchise).
SYNOPSIS: LA’s Finest follows Syd Burnett (Union), last seen in Miami taking down a drug cartel, who has left her complicated past behind to become an LAPD detective. Paired with a new partner, Nancy McKenna (Alba), a working mom with an equally complex past, Syd is pushed to examine whether her unapologetic lifestyle might be masking a greater personal secret. These two women don’t agree on much, but they find common ground when it comes to taking on the most dangerous criminals in Los Angeles in this character-driven drama.
LA’S FINEST is set to premiere sometime in 2019.

Based off of her character ‘Special Agent Syd Burnett’ from 2003’s ‘Bad Boys 2’, GABRIELLE UNION is set to star alongside JESSICA ALBA (Mechanic: Resurrection) in the TV spin-off pilot LA’S FINEST.
‘LA’s Finest’ follows ‘Syd Burnett’ as she starts a new job as a Los Angeles Police Detective. Alba stars as her partner, working mom ‘Nancy McKenna’ who is envious of Syd’s freedom off the job. Despite having different lifestyles and policing methods, they somehow learn to work together to solve cases.
The series also co-stars RYAN MCPARTLIN (TV’s Chuck), ERNIE HUDSON (Ghostbusters), ZACH GILFORD (The Purge: Anarchy) and DUANE MARTIN (Scream 2).
